How it works

BA

Like all Rivet School students, enroll in our accelerated, affordable bachelor’s degree program at College for America (in Business Management or Communications). While earning your BA, work with a personal coach, access on-demand tutoring, and our coworking spaces in the Bay Area.

Exam prep

California teachers must pass multiple state exams to earn a credential, including the CBEST and CSET. You’ll get special support preparing to pass these exams through our partnership with Teachers Test Prep – an online program with diagnostic assessments and content modules that will prepare you to pass your exams (a $450 value, at no cost to students). You and your coach will create a plan with the goal of passing both exams before entering your credential program.

Credential programs

Rivet School support doesn’t stop at graduation – we’ll help our alum select and enter a high-quality credential program that fits their needs. We’ve partnered with a diverse set of schools, from online programs to year-long teacher residencies. The one thing they all have in common: they want you! Our partners are excited to meet Rivet School students because they know you’ve got the skills and mindsets needed to be successful in their programs. Our partners include:
